What's Wrong With The Setup? 2

irst look this living room looks cozy, stylish, and well-lit; almost flawless, right?

Well, actually, according to the “Three Essentials” of Residential Feng Shui, the main door is the “dragon’s mouth” of a home, drawing in energies (Qi). When the internal and external environments are harmoniously aligned with Feng Shui arrangements, the door becomes the entry point for luck and贵人 (noble people). You can think of it as the bread giver to the household.

So the question is: What does all this have to do with the living room layout? Or rather, what’s the issue with this setup?

Simply put—if given a choice, would you coldly turn your back on your bread giver? Or warmly welcome them with open arms? The correct answer shouldn’t be too hard to guess: of course, you’d greet them enthusiastically!

That’s why the flaw in this otherwise looks okay living room is the sofa placement! If it were positioned to face the door—even at a slight angle—it would significantly boost the home’s fortune. Even if the layout (like an L-shaped or sectional sofa) makes it impossible to face the door completely, orienting at least part of the sofa toward the entrance is better than nothing.

So now’s the time to rethink your sofa arrangement! See if you can adjust it for better energy flow and luck.
