Bedroom Fengshui

Such a cozy bedroom is it not? But what potential issues can our feng shui detectives discuss here?

For those with basic Feng Shui knowledge would immediately point out that placing the bed with its head against the window is considered an unfavorable arrangement as the window is an area of unstable as energies flows. Thus the state of sleep in such a location can be similar to resting on an “edge of turbulence”.

This made one susceptible to external disturbances and over time, can affect health and emotional well-being. The Light and noise are disturbing, while the lack of privacy may subconsciously increase the level of stress.

This setup is also representing a “leaking support” scenario in Feng shui term. A bed positioned this way can lead to a lack of security, potentially causing fluctuations in career and “Nobleman” (贵人) luck.

If, for unavoidable reasons, your bed must be arranged this way, East Chen Consultancy recommends installing a blackout curtains and ensures the bed has a solid & thick headboard; If external noise isn’t too disruptive, these adjustments can significantly mitigate the issue.

So, is there any other concerns?

Ha, here’s a “modern” Feng Shui issue, i.e avoid habitually leaving your phone on the bed when reasting, and definitely not to charge it on the nightstand. If you are among others who are using your phone as an alarm clock, you might shrug this off, right?

East Chen won’t bore you with lengthy medical studies. Instead, let’s try out a simple 21-days experiment: Stop placing your phone near your bed while sleeping, and see if you notice any differences after three weeks!
